About the event
Appetizer (30 mins) - Introduction to New Words & Phrases
We will first review parts of the face in Mandarin (self-study through Quizlet is highly recommended). Then, we will move on to adjectives to describe facial features. After this, you are expected to know words in different sizes, shapes, lengths, colors, etc.
Main Course (30 mins) - Now, Let's Practice
In the main course, you will experience real-life scenarios by descirbing people you recently met and celebrities from different countries. You will receive the materials aligned with your needs at the entry or advanced level.
Dessert (30 mins) - Open Discussions
After the conversation practice, the different beauty standard in ancient China (such as the Tang Dyansty) and modern China. You are also welcome to share your thoughts and stories about how these standards affect people's life. Don't worry if you're a beginner, you will learn the keywords to express your ideas in Mandarin and say your thoughts in English.
