Chinatown is a lively place to stroll, explore and shop. Knowing some essential Mandarin words and sentences will help you to navigate through Chinatown and certainly add up to the experience. In this session, we will learn how to ask for prices, pay bills and haggle.

About the event

Appetizer (30 mins) - Introduction to New Words & Phrases 

We will start with learning the basic words when making payments and doing grocery shopping. Then, we will learn some sentences about asking for prices and exchanges. 

Main Course (30 mins) - Now, Let's Practice 

Now, let's imagine our classroom is a Chinatown and do a role play. We will use the words and sentences about shopping and practice with each other on how to shop in Chinatown, ask for prices and make payments. Our instructor will help you with the correct pronounication and expressions.

Dessert (30 mins) - Open Discussions

We will have an open discussion about the most frequently used Chinese sentences you would say in Chinatown. More speaking practice and group activities will be given in this section.
