Peking Opera is an important part of Beijing's culture. It's a performance art with singing, reciting, acting and martial arts. In this session, you will learn how to say "Peking Opera" in Mandarin. You will also learn some sentence structures to share your experiences and opinions on Peking Opera!

Appetizer (30 mins) - Introduction to New Words & Phrases 

You will learn some new words about Peking Opera and some sentence structures that're related to today's topic, such as "I have never watched Peking Opera before., "I went to watch Peking Opera yesterday", "I want to learn how to...", "I can't understand...", "It's fantastic!" and so on. During this session, you will also watch a short video about Peking Opera. 

Main Course (30 mins) - Now, Let's Practice

In the main course, you will have opportunities to use the new words and sentence structures you've learnt to make short conversations with other students. The instructor will provide you with suggestions and corrections. 

Dessert (30 mins) - Open Discussions

During this discussion, you can provide us with more detailed opinions on Peking Opera and other traditional Chinese culture or arts. We will discuss some questions about the importance of traditional culture & arts and explore the reasons why one may not be interested in them. It also asks about the knowledge of traditional culture and arts in China and other cultures, and discusses ways to protect and develop them for future generations. Understanding traditional culture and arts can help preserve a nation's heritage and promote cultural diversity and appreciation.
