General Introduction

Discover “Qinghua Ci” - blue and white porcelain in China. With a historical global impact, it’s now treasured by collectors, symbolizing a crucial part of Chinese artistic tradition. Join us as we explore its history, colors, and patterns. Let’s draw our favorite design on paper plates!

Appetizer (30 mins) - Introduction to New Words & Phrases

We will begin with the history and craftsmanship of blue and white porcelain. Through images, we will showcase renowned pieces, providing an understanding of the distinctive patterns and colors in this art form.

Main Course (30 mins) - Now, Let’s Practice

Students will paint their preferred blue and white porcelain patterns using gouache and paper plates. For on-site participants, the teacher will supply the materials; for online attendees, preparation of materials is required.

Dessert (30 mins) - Open Discussions

We will share stories about your experiences with porcelain. Have you ever bought Chinese porcelain? Do you know its type? How do you use it?
