Let’s celebrate the Chinese New Year together! We’ll learn the 12 zodiac, basic words and phrases based on real-life scenarios. Meanwhile, you’ll find out the answers of the following questions: How do Chinese celebrate the Chinese New Year? In a digital word, how do Chinese send out red pockets?

Appetizer (30 mins) - Introduction to New Words & Phrases
Let’s start with some basics! You’ll know more about the Chinese greeting rituals, food and the differences between Northern and Southern Chinese New Year celebrations. We’ll also learn some words and phrases that will help you to make short conversations related to Chinese New Year.
Main Course (30 mins) - Now, Let’s Practice!
Now, it’s your turn to practice Mandarin! With the help of our teacher, you’ll practice and memorize several greeting phrases to use in Chinese New Year. We’ll also practice how to ask and answer each other’s Chinese zodiac. In this session, we’re aiming for making short dialogue.
Dessert (30 mins) - Open Discussions
Let’s have more fun! We’ll play Charades based on the 12 zodiac animals. We’ll also make an easy Chinese paper lantern. Everyone will have the chance to participate and bring it home.
