Appetizer (30 mins) - Introduction to New Words & Phrases
You'll learn how to address your family members or relatives in Mandarin! With these basic words and phrases, you'll have a great start for a simple conversation about family. Let's start with your immediate family members - people who brought you into this world and those who grew up in the same house with you.
Main Course (30 mins) - Now, Let's Practice
Our teachers will work with you to practice simple dialogues that you can use to introduce your family and ask about other people's family members. You'll also practice with some tailored lines with your peers and receive instant feedback. You will be able to make a Chinese family tree after this class!
Dessert (30 mins) - Open Discussions
In Mandarin, there're eight ways to address cousins and five ways to address uncles. We can discuss how to address your relatives according to your preferenes. Chineses don't call older family members by their names. Let's talk about how to call your Chinese family members in a proper way!
