Appetizer (30 mins) - Introduction to New Words & Phrases
We'll introduce some basic knowledge and terms about languages and regions. Some insights into different dialects spoken in China will be shared too. You'll also see some examples of the differences and similarities in Cantonese and Mandarin (spoken and written), as well as the regions with the majority of both speakers.
Main Course (30 mins) - Now, Let’s Practice!
Our teacher will work with you to practice simple dialogues that you can use to ask what languages do people speak and where do they come from. Worrying about words and tones pronounced differently in Cantonese and Mandarin? The Chinese phonetic system (Pinyin) will help you sound like a Mandarin native speaker!
