關於本活動

Appetizer (30 mins) - Introduction to New Words & Phrases

To begin, each student will share their thoughts on solitude and reclusive lifestyles, discussing any experiences they have had with seeking solitude or retreating from the busy world. We will then introduce and explore the basic vocabulary and phrases related to reclusion culture in Chinese society.

Main Course (30 mins) - Now, Let's Practice

Each student will engage in a role-playing activity using the sentence structures we have learned. Students will work in pairs or small groups to simulate conversations about reclusive lifestyles. Students will select a famous recluse from Chinese history or create a fictional character based on the traditional reclusion culture. They will then use the provided sentence structures to discuss their character’s lifestyle, preferences, and reasons for choosing or not choosing a reclusive life.

Dessert (30 mins) - Open Discussions

During the open discussion segment, we will explore the concept of reclusion in modern society. Students are encouraged to share their opinions on whether reclusion is still relevant today and how modern recluses might differ from their ancient counterparts. We will also discuss how certain modern practices, like minimalism and digital detoxes, reflect the principles of traditional reclusion.
